National Seminar on ‘Nuclear Medicine and Radiopharmaceuticals’

MET Institute of Pharmacy (Degree) organised a Two days National Seminar on ‘Nuclear Medicine and Radiopharmaceuticals’ on 10th and 12th December 2022. The seminar had a panel of renowned speakers like Dr. Jayaraman, Nuclear Scientist (BARC), Chairman, National Centre for Science Communicators, Dr. N Sivaprasad, President, Indian Pharmaceutical Association Maharashtra State Branch & Technical Advisor, GRIL, Dr. Yojana Singh, Senior Manager, Market Research & Publicity, BRIT, Smt. Uma Sheri, Scientific Officer, BRIT and Smt. Preethi Nair, Scientific Officer, BRIT.
The guest speakers enlightened the students about the uses of radioisotopes in daily life, the selection of isotopes, specialised vehicles of radioisotopes, growth of tc99, production of molybdenum, advantages and disadvantages of gel generators and autoselect, Cold kit technetium, Chemistry of technetium and its various uses in the medical field, the isotopes and their production, the supply chain management and radiopharmacy industry, shortage reasons, JIT and RP. The sessions intrigued the young minds & received appreciation from the attending students and faculty from various other pharmacy institutions.
The two days made students aware of the progressive field of radiopharmaceuticals.

MET Institute of Pharmacy (Diploma) presented an e-poster on “A New Era for Drug Safety: From Trials to Continuous Real-World Monitoring†at the Annual International Conference hosted by Medicaps University, Indore, on 23rd August 2025.
MET faculty members, Ms. Apurva Jadhav and Ms. Payal J. Chavan, delivered this insightful e-poster presentation. The conference brought together global experts to discuss the latest advancements in drug safety and clinical research. Their presentation highlighted the growing importance of real-world evidence (RWE) in complementing clinical trial data to enhance patient outcomes and support regulatory decisions.

Tradition to Innovation in Pharma - Day 2

MET Institute of Pharmacy (Degree) successfully hosted Day 2 of the seminar on “Indian Knowledge System in Pharmaceutical Sciences: From Tradition to Innovation†on 19th Sept 2025. The day began with the ceremonial lamp lighting and invoking the blessings of Goddess Saraswati, setting a divine and inspiring start to the sessions.
The sessions featured distinguished speakers, Prof. Sunita Shailajan, Dean of Research, Development and Innovation at Ramnarain Ruia College, Dr. Sasikumar Menon, Associate Professor at Ramnarain Ruia College, Ms. Sabina Shirsekar, Consultant Scientist, Product Development at Navyug Global Ventures, and Mr. Saurabh Chhatre, CEO of Accu Write Pharma Solutions, who shared their expertise on authenticating raw materials, evaluating herbal formulations, exploring pharmacognosy, and the traditional Sanskar processes in Ayurveda.
The seminar offered students a meaningful blend of traditional wisdom and modern pharmaceutical sciences, making it an enriching learning experience.
Two-Day National Seminar

MET Institute of Pharmacy (Degree), under the aegis of IQAC and IKS Cell, successfully hosted a Two-Day National Seminar on “Indian Knowledge System in Pharmaceutical Sciences: From Tradition to Innovation†on 15th September 2025. The first day seminar commenced with a Poster Presentation Competition, offering students an excellent platform to showcase their research and creativity while emphasizing the relevance of Indian Knowledge Systems in today’s pharmaceutical landscape.
The event was graced by an esteemed panel of judges including Dr. Archana Naik, Associate Professor in Pharmaceutical Analysis, Bombay College of Pharmacy; Dr. Manasi Suhas Gholkar, Associate Professor in Pharmacognosy, Vivekanand Education Society’s College of Pharmacy; Dr. Jaya Agnihotri, Associate Professor in Pharmaceutics, HK College of Pharmacy; and Mr. Angel Godad, Assistant Professor in Pharmacology, SVKM\'s Dr. Bhanubhen Nanavati College of Pharmacy, whose valuable insights enriched the competition.
The winners of the competition were celebrated for their innovative ideas. The first prize was awarded to the project “Ayurnomics: From Tradition to Evidence†by Final Year B. Pharm students from MET Institute of Pharmacy (Degree) – Mr. Niraj Godse, Mr. Kunal Jadhav, Mr. Calvin Nazareth, and Ms. Saee Thakur. The second prize went to “The Quantum Leap of Ayurveda: Fusing Tradition with AI and Nanotech†by Ms. Anjali Gaud, Ms. Shakeela Shaikh, and Mr. Ashutosh Panda from H.K. College of Pharmacy. The third prize was bagged by “Chrono-Ayurveda: Time-Synced Tridosha Tablet†by Ms. Shrishti Singh, Ms. Prachi Pedekar, Mr. Atharva Khapare, and Ms. Apoorva Gajula.

Cyber Safety & Women Empowerment Seminar at MET IOP Degree

MET Institute of Pharmacy (Degree) organized an informative seminar on Cyber Crime, Women Safety, and Anti-Ragging
in collaboration with Mumbai Police, Bandra on February 27, 2025.
Respected Principal Dr. Abha Doshi welcomed a distinguished panel of officers, including Mr. Sriram Ghodke (Cyber Cell),
Mr. Balaji Bhange, Mrs. Priyanka Veerkar (Women Cell), Mr. Shankar Patil, Mr. Santosh Pawar, Mr. Sunil Tawde, Mr. Sudarshan Gaikwad
(Anti-Ragging Committee Member), and Mr.Ravindra Baban Waje (Police Constable). The session was efficiently coordinated by
Mrs. Sheeja Koliyoye.
