Independence Day 2025

Mumbai Educational Trust (MET) proudly celebrated the 79th Independence Day with a series of vibrant events across its campuses. The grand flag-hoisting ceremony was graced by Mr. Pankaj Bhujbal, Hon. Trustee, MET, along with Mrs. Vishakha Bhujbal, Senior Management Representative, Mumbai Education Trust, and Guest of Honour Mr. D. Sivanandhan, Retired Deputy General of Police. The presence of our esteemed Institute Directors, Principals, and Heads made the occasion truly memorable. The unfurling of the Tricolour filled the atmosphere with patriotic fervour, reminding us of the values of freedom, unity, and responsibility towards our nation.
Adding to the spirit of the day, MET Rishikul Vidyalaya hosted a vibrant cultural celebration that showcased the talent and enthusiasm of its students. The event featured a House-wise Music Competition, artistic mosaics honouring freedom fighters, patriotic dance performances by Primary students, and a thought-provoking roleplay by AS & A Level students, depicting conversations between freedom fighters and today’s youth. Students from Pre-Primary to AS Levels participated with great zeal, making the celebration both inspiring and memorable.
The day was a true reflection of MET’s commitment to nurturing values of patriotism, unity, and cultural pride. As the Tricolour fluttered high, every heart resonated with the promise to uphold the spirit of freedom.

The session was guided by Ms. Saloni Rajawat, who led everyone through rejuvenating asanas and mindfulness practices, promoting health and harmony at the workplace.
Shaping Future Technocrats: PG-DAC Orientation Programme

MET Institute of Information Technology hosted an Orientation Programme for the 55th batch of PG-DAC. The event was graced by Dr. Milind Pande, Pro Vice Chancellor, MET WPU, Pune.
As a keynote speaker, Dr. Milind delivered an inspiring speech on continuous learning, innovation, and adapting to the evolving tech landscape. He encouraged students to maximize their academic journey, develop problem-solving skills, and contribute effectively to the IT industry.
Dr. Abhijit Banubakode, Head, MET IIT, welcomed the students and shared the roadmap of the course as well as vibrant culture of life at MET.

MET CET Hosts 5-Day Faculty Development Programme

MET CET commenced its enriching five-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) with the ceremonial lamp lighting led by Mrs. Vishakha Bhujbal, Senior Management Representative. The initiative brought together expert speakers and faculty members for a series of impactful sessions focused on progressive teaching methodologies.
Day 1 featured Dr. Chitra Wadke who led a session on Flipped Classroom, introducing student-centric methods to promote active participation and engagement in the learning process.
Day 2 was conducted by Ms. Armaity Kelawalla, who delivered an insightful session on Facilitating Neuro-Inclusive Education through Sensitization and Mentoring. A professional social worker, special educator, arts-based therapist, soft skills trainer, and life coach, she currently serves as a Fieldwork Supervisor at TISS, Mumbai.
Day 3 featured Ms. Sulakshana Rathod who conducted a session on implementing cooperative learning strategies. As Senior Manager at Emeritus, she designs and delivers learning journeys for mid to senior-level professionals across corporate and government sectors, focusing on leadership and transformation.
The ongoing FDP reflects MET\'s commitment to fostering academic excellence and equipping educators with future-ready teaching tools.
76th Republic Day @ MET

Mumbai Educational Trust (MET) proudly celebrated the 76th Indian Republic Day with a grand event that highlighted the spirit of patriotism and unity. The celebration began with the ceremonial hoisting of the Tricolor by Mr. Pankaj Bhujbal, Hon. Trustee, MET, in the presence of Directors, Principals, and esteemed Heads of Institutes and Departments.
The vibrant festivities featured captivating performances by MET and MRV students and staff, showcasing India’s rich cultural heritage and traditions. The day was marked by patriotic speeches, melodious songs, and mesmerizing dance performances, creating an atmosphere of pride and joy.
Inspiring and enlightening IT Colloquium

We are thrilled to share that MET Institute has successfully hosted an inspiring and enlightening IT Colloquium on 6th July 2024. The event brought together industry experts, academicians, and students to explore the latest trends and advancements in the field of Information Technology.
The event commenced with the auspicious Saraswati Vandana, invoking the blessings of the Goddess of Knowledge for an enlightening and fruitful day. Welcome address by our honourable trustee Shri Pankaj Bhujbal Sir emphasized the importance of staying abreast of technological advancements and to leverage such platforms for continuous learning and innovation. The theme of the colloquium was set by Dr. Abhijit Banubakode - Principal ICS at MET Institute.
We were honored to have Ms. Reshma Qureshi - Head, Digital Enablement (Ideation to Revenue Value Chain) at TCS as Keynote Speaker who shared their invaluable insights on IT transitions and Evolution.
Next was the panel discussion with the theme \"Evolving trends and Expectations in the IT Industry\", The panelists, Mr. Davinder Singh - Chief Placement Officer CDAC Mumbai Region, Prof. Omprakash Mandge - Course Coordinator at MET ics and MET ISDR, Mr. Krupesh Parmar - Intelliza Solutions, Dr. Ashish Hanttangadi - Professor at Alkesh Dinesh Mody College, Mr. Dixson Almeida - Consultant at Securetech Solutions, Dr. Seema Purohit - Professor Emeritus at B.K. Birla College and Mr. Pankaj Tayade - Leader at IIBA provided diverse viewpoints and sparked meaningful conversations.
The event was also graced by Dr Neil Sequeira for an interactive session for all our industry delegates on Happiness Psychology. He made a significant contribution to help us understand how psychological principles can be applied to enhance our daily lives.
This was followed by Vote of thanks by very own Dr. Jyotsna Munshi - Deputy Director Corporate Relations Department.
This colloquium has reinforced our commitment to fostering a collaborative and innovative learning environment. We look forward to organizing more such events in the future to continue nurturing the IT talent and bridging the gap between academia and industry.

MET Institute of Information Technology hosted an Orientation Program for the 52nd batch of PG-DAC and 49th batch of DACA. The event was graced by the presence of Dr. Santosh Borde, Assistant Director, Student Progression and Industry Relations for JSPM TSSM Group of Institutes, who delivered an enlightening speech on the current placement scenario in the IT industry.
Dr. Borde also guided students on excelling in core subjects such as OOP, Operating System, Networks, Database, and Data Structures. He emphasized the importance of adding value to their profiles by enrolling in competitive platforms to gain an edge in their careers.
The motivational speech by Dr. Abhijit shed light on the Education 4.0 model and the roadmap of the CDAC course, as well as the vibrant culture at MET and life at CDAC. Nitin Patil, Course Coordinator, DACA, showcased impressive projects by DACA students, showcasing their creative skills and hard work.
A heartfelt vote of thanks by Nilesh Shirke, the Course Coordinator for DAC, wrapped up this inspiring event.

Republic Day @ MET

Mumbai Educational Trust celebrated the 74th Republic Day of India by hoisting the Tricolour by Mr. Pankaj Bhujbal, Trustee, MET, in the presence of Directors, Principals, Heads of the Institutes and Departments.
MET resonated with patriotic zeal as MET Rishikul Vidyalaya students presented an instrumental performance, patriotic song renditions and speeches to honour the occasion by displaying the rich, traditional and cultural heritage and feeling proud to be a part of our nation. MMS students from the MET Institute of Management organised a Constitution Quiz for all the MET and MRV students & parents to boost their knowledge of the Constitution of India.
The event\'s highlight was the MET Awards - MET Bhushan, bestowed on dedicated MET employees for completing 15 years of passionate service, MET Gaurav, faculty and students were honoured for demonstrating excellence at international & domestic levels in Academic, Research & Sports and MET Ratna, facilitated to students for their achievement of being the academic toppers in their respective courses.
Mumbai Educational Trust and Delphic Council of Maharashtra Celebrate 28 Years of International Delphic Movement

Mumbai Educational Trust (MET) partnered with the International Delphic council and Delphic
Council of Maharashtra formed the Delphic Art Wall at its campus in Bandra on 15 December
2022. It even marked the celebration of 28 years of the International Delphic Movement.
Thousands of students from MET Institutes and MET Rishikul Vidyalaya (MRV) participated in
the Delphic Art Wall. It was a Unity Project and a global attempt to make a record for the
longest Art Wall, running 11 kilometres by 2025. On this occasion MET, a more than 30 years
old recognized educational league, also announced Delphic Clubs for School and College
Students that will further strengthen their contribution towards the cultural cause. The Delphic
Games even referred to the Twin Sisters of the Olympic Games. Delphic is to arts and culture
equivalent to what the Olympics is to physical sports. The Delphic Games in modern bits are
hosted and driven by the International Delphic Council based in Berlin.
The Delphic Movement promotes harmony in the community via artistic engagement to boost
Art and Culture. The Live Art Wall Canvas Painting of 70 Meters by MET and MET Rishikul
Vidyalaya\'s students portrayed the art and culture of Maharashtra around the theme of
\'Water\'. The paintings made at MET have further ties with various states and countries to
develop an 11 kilometers long Art Wall at the time of the Delphic Games in an attempt to make
an entry in Guinness Book of World Records.
The event was inaugurated with a live painting by the world renowned calligraphy artist from
Maharashtra Mr. Achyut Palav and Artist Mr. Nilesh Mohite in the presence of Mr. Pankaj
Bhujbal, Hon. Trustee, MET, Mrs. Vishakha Bhujbal, Senior Management Representative, MET
and Mr. Ramesh Prasanna, Secretary General, International Delphic Council. Ms. Soumni Paul,
Vice President, Hungama Music, Core Members of Delphic Council Maharashtra, Mr. Suresh
Thomas, President, Maharashtra Delphic Council, Ms. Anuja Sahai, Mr. Abhijeet Bhujbal, Mr. Ali
Akbar Rizvi, Ms. Sejal Gala, Ms. Dipti Shah, and Mr. Susheel Mistry also graced the inaugural
ceremony.
The carnival witnessed diverse kinds of Folk and Tribal dances like Tarpa Dance, Dhol Dance,
and Nandi Dance performances expressing the Arts and Culture of Maharashtra by students of
MET and MRV. This International Delphic Movement even featured a Fashion Show portraying
outfits that showcase Maharashtra\'s culture in sync with the Delphic Art wall live paintings by
MET\'s students.
Mr. Pankaj Bhujbal, Hon. Trustee MET expressed his delight on the Delphic as an idea
attempting to unite the world via Arts & Culture. He said, \"MET as an institution that offers programmes and courses is based on the premise of values rooted in our Culture and therefore
Arts that express our Cultures. We find the Delphic Movement a valuable resource to give our
students the global platforms they deserve.\"
Mr. Ramesh Prasanna, Secretary General of the International Delphic Council, a Cultural
Entrepreneur, and the founder of the Art School, expressed, \"I\'d love to tell you that the
foundation of the Mumbai Education Trust (MET) is about bringing a cultural value system into
children who study with you. The International Delphic Council completely subscribes to that
statement since we are based on the idea of the Delphic spirit.\" He also added, \"When we are
talking about a school year is what a wonderful gathering - we are talking about the very core
values that we require to be able to grow as human beings. One of the core values is love which
is about the spiritual balance between you and the universe & the rest of you; that is why we go
to schools & have these Cultural Value Systems with us.\"
In general, the Delphic Art Movement at MET and MRV gives students an opportunity to unveil
and symbolize Maharashtra\'s rich Art and Culture. The Delphic Clubs at MRV School and MET
Institutes will continue to serve as a platform to encourage Arts and Cultural exhibits amongst
the learner community.
PG DAC & DACA Orientation 2022

MET Institute of Information Technology conducted Orientation for the Golden Jubilee (50th) PG -
DAC - September 2022 batch and 46th DACA - September 2022 batch on 15th September 2022.
The programme started with Lightning of Lamp and Saraswati Vandana in presence of Guest
Speakers, MET Alumni, Mr. Panjaj Ojha, Director - IKS and MET Alumni Mr. Bhavik Parmar, Chief
Digital Officer, 1FC Financial and Investment Advisors, Institute Faculty and Students.
The guests guided Students by sharing their experiences at MET when they were Students.
Mr. Ojha shared his wisdom that the milestone for success is going through a series of failures. The
stream does not matter when campus placement takes place. Non-IT stream students perform
equally well as IT graduates. Mr. Parmar guided DACA students by making them aware of the
importance of User Interface in the Digital World. Both Alumni inspired and motivated the students
on their Orientation Day.
In an inspiring way, Dr. Abhijit Banubakode, Principal, MET Institute of Computer Science introduced
students to the MET Family. Mr. Nitin Patil, Course Coordinator - DACA showcased Projects and
Artwork of the students. The Program concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Nilesh Shirke, Course
Coordinator - PG DAC.
