Independence Day 2022

Mumbai Educational Trust (MET) celebrated India’s 76th Independence Day with immense
patriotism. The celebration commenced with a bike rally by students and faculty of all MET
Institutes. The students were soaked in the colour of Tiranga chanting ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’.
It was followed by a splendidly co-ordinated march-past and the dignitaries hoisting the
National Flag with stunning rendition of the National Anthem by the MRV Primary Choir. Shri
Pankaj Bhujbal, Honourable Trustee, MET gave an inspiring speech followed by our Chief
Guest Ms Yatri Vitekar, Chairman, Railway Recruitment Board - Mumbai, under the Ministry
of Railways, Government of India who enthralled the audience with her thought provoking
words.
The bright and young MRV students from Preschool to Grade 10 and AS & A Levels
presented dynamic speeches in Hindi and English, a drama on Savitribai Phule, a street
play, amazing dance and music performances, which were infused with patriotic melodies, a
special performance by MET IIS, and finally closing with a fabulous singing performance by
our very own MET faculty and music legend Mr. Vinay Mandke. It was a memorable day at
MET and MRV.

Mumbai Educational Trust celebrated the 73rd Indian Republic Day by hoisting tricolour at the hands of Mr. Pankaj Bhujbal, Trustee - Mumbai Educational Trust in the presence of MET Directors, Principals, Heads of the Institutes and Departments.
MET Utsav 2021

MET Utsav 2021, an eagerly awaited Mega Annual Cultural and Sports fest of the Mumbai Educational Trust (MET) is here again, with so much gusto and enthusiasm all around. What makes it special this time is the fact that it\'s after the pandemic lockdowns in the new normal, first time ever being celebrated in hybrid mode with all the safety SOPs and precautions in place.
The MET Utsav 2021 was inaugurated at the hands of MET Trustee Mr. Pankaj Bhujbal in the presence of all MET Directors, Principals, HODs and students joining online on 22 October 2021. The annual fest saw a plethora of events lined up for all METizens and MRVites.
As we are aware, ‘Ludo’ became the king of games during the pandemic. It\'s fun and entertaining for all age groups, therefore was featured as one of the enlisted Online Gaming Competitions as part of MET Utsav 2021. Gamers from across MET Institutes gathered virtually for a ‘Battlegrounds Mobile India’ (BGMI) gaming tournament held on day two of the fest. Battleground Mobile India Series is one of the biggest Battle Royale Esports events in the country. The competition drew over MET student gamers in large numbers who battled it out online. Being awarded as one of the best mobile games ‘Call of Duty’ (COD) was included in the MET Utsav 2021 online gaming tournaments too. The participating teams of COD exhibited the attributes such as unity, tactics and focus. These extremely engaging online gaming competitions saw hundreds of MET students contending for the winning titles. The enthusiastic students ensured that the event was a resounding success.
During the week long celebrations, a fun event ‘Antakshari’ was organised for the MET students, faculties and management staff. As part of MET Utsav 2021, the evergreen game \'Antakshari\' was organised on 25th October 2021, in which all MET staff - Teaching and non-teaching, participated with great enthusiasm and had a great time of fun and joy.
The online game competitions were followed by the sports day in which the students participated in a series of indoor games displaying their caliber in extracurricular events. Indoor games included chess, carom board and table tennis.
The MET Utsav 2021 concluded with a ‘Grand Finale’ on 30th October, 2021. For the first time the Cultural Event was organised in a hybrid form (both offline and online). Keeping in view the current scenario of Covid-19, MET Utsav 2021 was themed as ‘All is Well’ to convey the positive behavioural approach to overcome the circumstances everyone is facing. The audience witnessed flawless skilled performances recorded offline and presented online for large audience that joined online for this event. The solo and group dance performances were well choreographed by professionals and performed beautifully by MET students. Right from the MRV school to MET postgraduate students all came together to make the event entertaining and successful, demonstrating a positive outlook towards the situation. MRV student’s band performance along with Navdurga and Corona Warriors themed dance exhibits were the main highlights of the evening that infused so much of optimism in hope in the audience.
The event also witnessed melodious solo singing performances of peppy songs by MET students. Stand-up comedy made the audience laugh out louder. On the other hand, students and staff showed extraordinary creative skills in the field of photography, sketching, sculpture artifacts and illustration by submitting their entries in the ‘Creative Exhibition’; which was displayed in a 3D walk through. Students created a nostalgia for all the alumni by Bollywood Reunion Dance which was shot in college premises.
On this occasion the ‘MET Gaurav Awards’ were given to members of the MET staff & students who had shown the highest level of achievement and excellence at the international or national level whereas ‘MET Ratna Awards’ were felicitated to the sharpest minds of MET who have topped in their respective courses making the MET family feel proud. These awards were bestowed at the hands of MET Trustee, Mrs. Meena Bhujbal. Indeed, MET Utsav was a great hit even in the newer hybrid form. Everyone had a gala time with an entertaining evening. MET students deserved a great appreciation and therefore won the applause from students, faculty, and parents. Kudos to all the METizens.

India’s 75th Independence Day

Marking the freedom and glory of the nation, Mumbai Educational Trust (MET) celebrated India’s 75th Independence Day with immense patriotic zeal and enthusiasm.
The celebration commenced with the flag-hoisting ceremony, in the presence of Mr. Pankaj Bhujbal, Hon. Trustee - MET, Chief guest Mr. D. Sivanandhan, Retd D.G.P (Maharashtra state), MET students, faculty, and staff where the unfurling of the National Flag was followed by the National Anthem.
MET Rishikul Vidyalaya students had their spirits high and exhibited musical skits, patriotic songs and speeches to honour the countless sacrifices of the freedom fighters, soldiers and heroes who fought for our country’s freedom. As every year, the MET Bhushan Awards were given to members of the MET family for their fifteen years of service and commitment towards their work. This was followed by the inauguration of ‘MET INSIGHTS’ - a special learning initiative by MET Institute of Management which aims to enhance the learning, receptivity and interaction with students. Guest speaker Mr. Amrut Deshmukh - CA, Founder of Booklet App, TEDx speaker & Social Entrepreneur addressed the MET IOM students on this occasion.
72nd Republic Day Celebrations

The 72nd Republic Day was celebrated on January 26, 2021 at MET to honour the day on which the Constitution of India came into effect. The event began with unfurling of the Indian National Flag by Mr. Pankaj Bhujbal, Hon. Trustee – MET in presence of MET Directors, Principals, HODs, faculty, and staff. MET echoed with patriotic fervour as MRV students and faculty presented an instrumental performance, a patriotic song rendition and speech to mark the occasion.
The highlight of the event was the ‘I Live Simply’ initiative by MRV, wherein MET family pledged to plant more saplings and take up composting and biodegradation of waste on Institute’s premises.
74th Independence Day Celebration

MET celebrated India\'s 74th Independence Day while maintaining social-distancing protocol. The celebration was filled with patriotic spirit, honouring the countless sacrifices of the nation\'s brave hearts who laid down their lives for the freedom of our country. The ceremony constituted unfurling of Tricolor, followed by singing of national anthem, and an Independence Day address by Pankaj Bhujbal, Hon. Trustee - MET.
Orientation of PG-DAC 2020

MET Institute of Information Technology (IIT) held an Orientation program for the new batch of PG-DAC (CDAC) - Post Graduate Diploma in Advanced Computing (PG-DAC) - the flagship programme of ACTS (CDAC Pune) on 18th February 2020 in presence of HoD, faculty members, students and alumni. Dr Abhijeet Banubakode, Principal - MET Institute of Computer Science welcomed students and shared the Institute’s vision, overview on the teaching methodologies & opportunities which are offered at MET. Chief Guest Mr. Rakesh Ebrahimpurkar, AVP (Human Resources) - 63 Moons Technologies Ltd. addressed the PG-DAC students on expectations of IT Industry from them. He strongly emphasized on importance of continuous updation in technology which is becoming a key factor for the career growth for freshers in IT Industry. The event concluded with vote of thanks by Mr. Nilesh Shirke, Course Coordinator (PG-DAC) - MET IIT.
71st Republic Day Celebrations

The Republic Day is celebrated in the honour of the day when India\'s Constitution was signed and India was declared a republic on 26th January, 1950. MET and MRV celebrated the day with patriotic fervour, hoisting the Tricolour and singing the National Anthem. Hon. Trustee Pankaj Bhujbal and Dr. Vijay Page, Director General - MET Institute of Management addressed the students on the occasion in the presence of MET Directors, Principals, HODs, faculty, staff, students and parents.
As an ode to the spirit of India, MRV Dance Club presented a unique act of Unity through their beautiful rendition of contemporary, semi-classical and hip-hop fusion. The Tricolour coded dancers brought out the sense of integrity in India’s diversity with their power packed performance on the Republic Day. METizens multiplied the spirit of the celebrations by presenting songs about the pride of India.

Independence Day 2019 was celebrated at MET with great enthusiasm and pride to mark the 73 years of Independent India. Indian Flag Hoisting was followed by enthusiastic and power-packed performances by the students and staff of MET Institutes including MET Rishikul Vidyalaya. The glorious celebration included mesmerizing patriotic songs that narrated the stories of bravery and selflessness sacrifice. The energetic dances and performances by MET Rishikul Vidyalaya students displayed the unwavering determination of Indian freedom fighters for the motherland. The occasion was graced by the MET Trustees, Directors, Principals, HODs, faculty, staff, students and parents.
Rules Will Break Rules! What Will You Do? – An Interactive session

MET organized a Guest Talk by Mr. Sunil Lulla, Group CEO, Balaji Telefilms Ltd for the Students, Faculties, Staff of MET as a part of its 30 years celebration of MET academic excellence, Mr. Lulla addressed the houseful audience on the topic ‘Rules Will Break Rules! What Will You Do?’ This interactive, knowledge sharing question & answer session on industry, OTT, Media World was met with utmost enthusiasm and inspiration amongst all the METizens. The session helped Students to comprehend vision board and its importance to stay on course of life and it also highlighted that how deviations from what you want to do is good at times to arrive at a successful road map.

Holi celebration

Established in 1989, MET is celebrating 30 glorious years of Academic Excellence. The celebrations continued with all the MET Institutes and School getting together on the occasion of Holi, one of the most joyful and vibrant festivals in India. The staff and students showered each other with flower petals and brightly coloured powders of pink, yellow, blue and green. The Holi celebration took place with a lot of joy and verve throughout the MET campus.
