Tsunami Relief project
MET students worked day and night to collect funds for Tsunami Relief, another batch of students visited the affected areas, counseled the grief-stricken. They took keen interest to know the problems of the people and responded according to ground realities. Thus, instead of distributing food and medicines (which were available in plenty), the students looked for options that would help the villagers lead an independant and decent life once again. Inorder to help the villagers to take control of their lives, the students bought fishing nets and sewing machines to the poorest of the poor amongst those affected.
