MET Institute of Software Development and Research (ISDR) proudly conducted the induction program for the Post Graduate Programme in Data Science and Machine Learning (PGP DSML) Batch of 2024–2025. The event commenced with a warm welcome address by the Course Coordinator, Prof. Omprakash Mandge, who set the tone for an exciting and insightful academic journey ahead.
The highlight of the event was the keynote address delivered by Mr. Bhushan Gaonkar, Senior Manager at Xoriant Systems. In his enlightening speech, Mr. Gaonkar emphasized the critical importance of quality and process management in the rapidly evolving fields of data science and machine learning. His insights provided the students with a clear understanding of the industry\'s expectations and the pivotal role that disciplined processes play in achieving excellence in these domains.
The induction program marked the beginning of a transformative journey for the new batch, equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and mindset required to excel in the ever-changing landscape of data science and machine learning.

Independence Day 2025

Mumbai Educational Trust (MET) proudly celebrated the 79th Independence Day with a series of vibrant events across its campuses. The grand flag-hoisting ceremony was graced by Mr. Pankaj Bhujbal, Hon. Trustee, MET, along with Mrs. Vishakha Bhujbal, Senior Management Representative, Mumbai Education Trust, and Guest of Honour Mr. D. Sivanandhan, Retired Deputy General of Police. The presence of our esteemed Institute Directors, Principals, and Heads made the occasion truly memorable. The unfurling of the Tricolour filled the atmosphere with patriotic fervour, reminding us of the values of freedom, unity, and responsibility towards our nation.
Adding to the spirit of the day, MET Rishikul Vidyalaya hosted a vibrant cultural celebration that showcased the talent and enthusiasm of its students. The event featured a House-wise Music Competition, artistic mosaics honouring freedom fighters, patriotic dance performances by Primary students, and a thought-provoking roleplay by AS & A Level students, depicting conversations between freedom fighters and today’s youth. Students from Pre-Primary to AS Levels participated with great zeal, making the celebration both inspiring and memorable.
The day was a true reflection of MET’s commitment to nurturing values of patriotism, unity, and cultural pride. As the Tricolour fluttered high, every heart resonated with the promise to uphold the spirit of freedom.

The session was guided by Ms. Saloni Rajawat, who led everyone through rejuvenating asanas and mindfulness practices, promoting health and harmony at the workplace.
MET CET Hosts 5-Day Faculty Development Programme

MET CET commenced its enriching five-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) with the ceremonial lamp lighting led by Mrs. Vishakha Bhujbal, Senior Management Representative. The initiative brought together expert speakers and faculty members for a series of impactful sessions focused on progressive teaching methodologies.
Day 1 featured Dr. Chitra Wadke who led a session on Flipped Classroom, introducing student-centric methods to promote active participation and engagement in the learning process.
Day 2 was conducted by Ms. Armaity Kelawalla, who delivered an insightful session on Facilitating Neuro-Inclusive Education through Sensitization and Mentoring. A professional social worker, special educator, arts-based therapist, soft skills trainer, and life coach, she currently serves as a Fieldwork Supervisor at TISS, Mumbai.
Day 3 featured Ms. Sulakshana Rathod who conducted a session on implementing cooperative learning strategies. As Senior Manager at Emeritus, she designs and delivers learning journeys for mid to senior-level professionals across corporate and government sectors, focusing on leadership and transformation.
The ongoing FDP reflects MET\'s commitment to fostering academic excellence and equipping educators with future-ready teaching tools.
