Celebrating 30 Years of Excellence

The grand annual cultural extravaganza of Mumbai Educational Trust (MET), Bhujbal Knowledge City was celebrated on an unprecedented scale at their world class campuses located in Mumbai and Nashik. Established in 1989, MET is celebrating 30 glorious years of Academic Excellence and MET Utsav marked the beginning of this year-long celebration

Sheer grandeur, extravaganza and brilliance marked the ‘MET Utsav 2019’. The grand fest kickstarted with a round of auditions for singing, dancing, fashion show and compering in the first and second week of January 2019. Following this, there was a grand inauguration on 12th January, 2019. The highlights of the day were the action packed thrilling bike show and mass dance put forth by the students and faculty of MET to the tune of the MET Utsav Anthem.

The annual sports day meet held on January 14th was declared open with the customary torch lighting ceremony, with the Trustees doing the honors coupled with an energetic dance performance by students which set the tone for the rest of the event. The sports meet came to an end by felicitating the winners. It was a day filled with sportsmanship, great zeal and memories to cherish.

The ‘Robotech Exhibition’ held on 25th January provided the much-needed platform to the young talent to showcase their innovative designing skills whereas the \'Art-n-Craft and Photography Exhibition\' gave an opportunity to art enthusiasts to display and at the same time have a peek into the art world. METizens interacted with AI in the MET Augmented Reality Show (MARS). The \'Talent Show\' provided the youth to display its raw talent through mimicry and musical performances that saw staff participation as well.

At the MET Utsav Cultural Nite held on 29th January 2019 , the performances of the students left the audience spell bound. Aerial, techno, Bollywood, Indian dance performances, skits and the musical renditions were extremely captivating and enthralling. The witty anchors and mimicry artistes kept thousands of audience glued to their seats. The icing on the cake was the magnificent fashion shows.

The MET Utsav celebrations were graced by well-known celebrities from the Hindi and Marathi cine world like renowned actor Riteish Deshmukh, a pioneer of Indian fusion music and winner of Padmashri award, singer Hariharan, versatile multilingual playback singer Madhushree, actress and model Natasha Doshi, producer and actor Vikas Gupta, model and actor Priyank Sharma were some of the celebrities who added to the entertainment with their on-stage performances and encouraging words. The participation of Alumni from across the different batches through the years, added a dash of nostalgia to the star-studded event.

Academic toppers from each institute were conferred the prestigious MET Ratna Awards, while students who showed their prowess at the international, national and state levels were honoured with the MET Gaurav Awards. The awards were presented by Founder Chairman, Chhagan Bhujbal and MET Trustees - Mrs. Meena Bhujbal, Pankaj Bhujbal, Samir Bhujbal, Dr Jitendra Wagh and Dr Nirmal Surya.

Demonstrating teamwork and unity, MET Utsav 2019 was not just a platform for celebrations and festivities but it also allowed the entire MET family to bond and envision a future.

The unique mega annual festival

MET Utsav 2017 - The Grand Annual Cultural Fest of the MET League of Colleges, was celebrated on 27-28 January at Bhujbal Knowledge City, Mumbai. Enthusiastic METizens who began preparations weeks ahead showcased their energy and talent through some of the extra ordinary feats.

On the Inauguration Day dancing group of MET students formed the human pyramid to unfurl the MET Utsav flag that marked the launch of the event. It was followed by the creativity exhibition overloaded with creative arts, crafts, paintings, photography, sculptures etc which was highly appreciated. The MET Annual Sports Meet witnessed all the METizens - students and staff sans designations and departments coming together to display the sportsmanship. At the end of the day, individual champions and winning teams were rewarded with certificates and trophies.

Magnificent grand finale of MET Utsav 2017 was the Cultural Nite on 28th January. Talented students who had displayed their skills in music, singing, dance, drama, mimicry had been selected and rigorously trained to put up the scintillating performances. The Cultural Nite was fabulous and kept the large audience gathering glued to seats through power-packed performances that also included folk, aerial dances, innovative fashion shows on the theme of MET Utsav 2017 – \'Celebrating Team Spirit\'. There were eminent guests from the Bollywood world who graced the occasion. MET trustees along with Guest of Honour Mr. Rajeev Vaishnav, Head – Ecosystem & Partnership, GenNextHub (a Reliance Enterprise) and Ex Vice President, NASSCOM conferred the MET Ratna Awards on the toppers from various MET Institutes.

Celebrating the team spirit, all MET students, faculty, admin, technical and non-academic staff rejoiced together on a single platform devoid of all hierarchies.

MET’s intra-collegiate annual event
14 institutes, 4000 students, 500 faculty & staff, came together to celebrate MET\'s Mega Annual Sports Meet, Cultural Grand Event & Awards Ceremony

MET League of Colleges held the intra-collegiate mega event MET Utsav 2013 from Feb 07th culminating into Grand Finale on Feb 09th at their Bhujbal Knowledge City campus.


This is one time of the year when the students, faculty members and admin, technical & non-academic staff are on the same platform. The inauguration began with spectacular Malkham performance, which was followed by Creativity Exhibition that remained open for all 3 days. Through this event MET also intended to promote the social cause of ‘Water Conservation’. The inauguration ceremony had presentations and short films on ‘Save Water’, an exhibition on this theme was kept open for the visitors, in which METizens highlighted this need of the hour in a very creative way through painting, photography, pottery and modelling. On the first day a range of workshops, based on this theme, were held in which everyone enthusiastically participated.


Second day of the event was celebrated as the Annual Sports Meet which was themed ‘Back to School’. Hence games like slow cycling, atya patya, box cricket, shot put, sack race etc. were a big hit. The age of the participants ranged from 4 years to 60 years.


During the Award Ceremony METizens’ excellence was recongnised as they were awarded the MET Ratna, MET Gaurav and MET Pragnyavant awards at the hands of Founder Chairman of Mumbai Educational Trust, Shri Chhagan Bhujbal. In the event, students, staff and faculty members showcased their musical and theatrical talent. All the hierarchies were dissolved and everyone came together with the sole objective of celebrating the sportsmanship and recognise the academic, artistic, sports and cultural wealth which is available within the MET family. MET Utsav is essentially a celebration, all at MET got together and enjoyed the festive sportive & cultural mood.


The grand finale evening was dazzling with stars as many celebrities graced the event, John Abraham who is also a MET Alumni encouraged all the students. Renowned personalities like Arbaaz Khan, Chunky Pandey, Sonu Nigam, Pankaj Dheer were present in their own unique style. Raju Srivastav, the man known for delivering observational point of view in most hilarious manner engrossed the audience with his jokes. Whereas melodious Sonu Nigam enthralled the audience with popular songs.


It was indeed a very well fitting glorious finale to a grand event - the MET Utsav 2013.

Mumbai’s only intra-collegiate fun festival!
Fourteen Institutes, One School, 4000 students, 500 faculty & staff come together to Celebrate MET’s Annual Festivities

MET’s intra-collegiate fest MET UTSAV 2012 started with a bang with the inauguration ceremony by Shri. Chhagan Bhujbal, Founder Chairman – Mumbai Educational Trust (MET). MET Utsav began with Masti Ki Paathshala (Workshops) fun and learn is the mantra at the MET workshops. Members of the MET family attended specially arranged workshops like salsa, robotics, music therapy, baking, aroma therapy, gymming, flipart animation, hand writing analysis to name a few on 25th January. Creativity Exhibits were display on this day. On the second day i.e 26th January at the MET Annual Sports Meet - students, staff and faculty members from the 14 affluent institutions of MET participated which had indoor and outdoor games like – tug of war, box cricket, rink football, volley ball, carrom, lawn tennis, throw ball and many more. Talent Hunt which was held earlier on 20th January showcasing the talent in music, orchestra, solo singing, mimicry competition and more. Winners of the talent hunt had performed at the grand finale. MET Bhushan was awarded at the talent hunt to the MET employees who completed 15 years of dedicated service.


If you wished to witness pure talent then MET’s intra-collegiate fest MET UTSAV 2012 grand cultural nite finale which was held on Friday, 27th January, 2012 at the Mumbai Educational Trust, Bhujbal Knowledge City, Bandra (W), Mumbai - 50. The stars literally came down on Planet Earth to encourage the talented METizens. The show was packed with over 20 performances. Students, staff and faculty from all institutes at MET showcased their musical and theatrical talent at this mega event. The age of the participants ranged from 4 years to 60 years. The enrapt items, stand up acts and the vocal performances and instrumental bands featured Dances, Songs, Music, Fashion Shows etc. The academic achievers were felicitated by Shri. Chhagan Bhujbal, Founder Chairman – Mumbai Educational Trust (MET), with the MET Ratna. MET Gaurav was awarded on the International/National/State level achievers. Where as MET Pragnyavant award was declared for Institute level academic achievers. MET Vikram the rolling sports trophy was awarded to the winning sports institute of the year.


This is one time in the year when the students, staff and faculty members are on the same level. All the hierarchies are dissolved and everyone comes together with the sole objective of having pure fun. Everyone at every level is involved in organizing the event and thus the team spirit rules. The preparations for the MET Utsav festivals started as early as December when it was time to set up performances that will rock the festival.


The six days of the MET Utsav ’12 celebrations concluded with the grand cultural nite finale on 27th January, showcasing talents with dynamic performances from one and all making this event a life long memory to cherish.


MET Utsav ’12 truly culminated into the night shining brighter than the stars making it go down as a day worth remembering in the minds of everyone present at the occasion.
